網站 9to5Google 發現 Google 正準備將 Android Update API，從現時在設置選單內改為在 Google Play Store 出現，換句話說，未來用戶要為裝置更新系統，只要在 Google Play Store 升級就可以。9to5Google 在 Google Play Store 軟件 14.5.52 版本的程式碼中找到，幾個有關下載和安裝系統的字串。
